# Assets

> PDFs, images and voice notes your funnels can send to leads.

Assets are the files your campaigns send: a price list, a brochure, a photo of a property, or a voice note in your own voice. Upload a file once and any funnel step in any campaign can send it.

Find them in the sidebar under **Assets**.

## What you can upload

The image limit is Meta's own ceiling rather than ours. Allowing a larger upload would let a file succeed here and then fail at send time, which is the worst place to find out.

## Voice notes

Press **Record a voice note**, allow microphone access, and record directly in the dashboard. You can play it back, discard it and try again before saving.

  Whatever you record or upload, Whappy converts it so that WhatsApp shows it as a **genuine voice note** — the round bubble with a waveform — rather than as a file attachment the lead has to download. This is why recording in any browser produces the same result on the lead's phone.

The five-minute cap is measured from the recording itself, not from what your browser claims. It is a deliberate limit: a lead who receives a six-minute monologue from a business they messaged once does not listen to it.

If your browser does not support recording, you can still upload an audio file.

## Sending an asset from a funnel

In the [funnel builder](/campaign/funnel), add a **Send Document** step for PDFs and images, or a **Send Voice Note** step for audio.

* **Send Document** takes up to **5 files** for one step. They are sent in the order shown.
* Add an optional **message**, sent with the first file only.
* **Send Voice Note** takes one recording, and its optional line describes what the recording is about rather than dictating exact words — the AI assistant writes the introduction itself, in the lead's language.
* Optionally **wait for the lead to reply** before the conversation continues.

The same file can be reused across as many steps and campaigns as you like — it is stored once.

## Your allowance

The number of assets you can store comes from your plan, and the page shows how many you have used. Accounts without an active subscription get a small allowance so the feature can be tried before buying.

Deleting an asset frees up allowance immediately.

## When something goes wrong

| **Your plan's asset storage is full**          | The total size, not the count, is the limit here. Delete something large. |
| **This asset is used by N funnel steps**       | Remove it from those steps before deleting it.                            |
| **That file is too large**                     | Check it against the size table above.                                    |
| **That file type isn't supported**             | Upload a PDF, JPEG or PNG.                                                |
| **That recording is longer than 5 minutes**    | Record a shorter one.                                                     |
| **That file couldn't be read as audio**        | The file is damaged or not really audio. Try recording again.             |
| **Audio processing isn't available right now** | A temporary fault on our side. Try again shortly.                         |
